After School Programs

After School Programs run one afternoon a week for five or six weeks from 3:15 to 5:30 p.m.  Fees include all materials, snack, and insurance.  Class sizes are kept small, with a maximum of 8-10 children per class.

Students may take the bus directly here if they attend Berlin Memorial School, otherwise they may be dropped off by a parent or other adult. 

2008 After School Programs
April 9 - May 21              Berlin Young Birders Club
                                           Wednesdays for 6 weeks
                                           For grades 1-5

February 26 - April 3     Winter wildlife Tracking class 
                                           Tuesdays for 5 weeks

Our current After School class, the Berlin Young Birders Club, is a new offering for students in grades 1-5.  Students will learn more about the local birds in our yards. We will learn to identify different bird families and species, and start a bird list of birds we have observed. We will do weekly activities centered around birds, and will learn more about these beautiful creatures that are part of our natural world. We will start to learn some of the common bird songs and will be able to identify some by the end of the session.  Fees are $50 and include Bird Guide, materials and snacks.
