Are you wild about nature?
 
If so, consider celebrating your birthday with us!  We offer birthday parties with a variety of nature themes. Parties can be held here at Hands On Nature or at another location of your choice. 

We are happy to tailor your party to your child’s favorite nature theme, or you may choose from one of the following:

                            Daytime Parties (from 10-12 or 2-4 pm)

Wild Amphibians - Learn what frogs, toads, and salamanders all have in common, and then search the woods for these fascinating creatures on a nature walk. We can also focus on a specific amphibian (for example, you could have a tree frog party).

Exciting Insects - Spend your party noticing the differences between insects and their friends. We will catch insects and other bugs with our bug boxes and then release them. We will decorate our own bug boxes afterwards.

Nature Explorers - We will search for different kinds of animal tracks, trails, and sign, then use models of tracks to decorate a t-shirt with our fabric paints. ($5/extra per child).

Forest Scavenger Hunt - We will explore the woods to discover the answers to clues about nature and to search the trails for items found in the forest.

Evening Parties (from 6:30 to 8:30 pm)

Campfire Program - We will roast marshmallows, sip hot chocolate, tell animal stories and have fun around an evening campfire. We can go on a night hike, or just enjoy the fire all evening.

Owl Prowl - Learn about owls through games and a night hike.

Parties are scheduled for two hours, with additional time at the end for cake and presents.

Our fee is $125 and includes:

Children should be reminded to dress for being outdoors, and should plan on wearing old clothes and shoes.

You may choose a craft or activity from the list below, or come up with your own. The cost of materials is included in the price of the party.

Craft Ideas:

We would be happy to help with ideas for nature inspired invitations or cakes/snacks.
