Hands On Nature

Connecting children to their natural world through
educational hands-on experiences

Programs

Hands On Nature offers three types of educational outdoor nature programs for children:

    After School Programs

     Homeschool Classes

        Summer Camps

After School Programs run one afternoon a week for five weeks from 3:15 to 5:30 p.m.  Students may take the bus directly here if they attend Berlin Memorial School, otherwise they may be dropped off by a parent or other adult.  Fees for the after school program are $65/session and include all materials, a snack, and insurance

Homeschool Classes are offered as one day or monthly programs.  Class size is kept between 4 and 8 people, so that each individual's interests can be met.  Classes typically run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and cost $25/per student, but class times and fees are flexible.

Summer Camps are offered each summer and run for one week Monday - Thursday from 9:30 to 12 noon.  Fees are $85/week and include all materials, a snack, and insurance.

In each of our three programs, we hope to re-awaken the sense of awe, wonder, and curiosity in the natural world that children already have innately within them.

In addition to these three ongoing programs, we also offer One Time Classes for groups such as Brownies, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.  These classes can be tailored to individual badges that the troops or dens are working toward.  Fees vary depending on the program and the number of children attending.

We also offer Birthday Parties for children ages 3-10.  Parties have a choice of themes and can be held here or in another location.  Fees are $125 for up to 10 children and include a craft and all activities.  Contact Hands On Nature for further information.
